Shravan Tickoo
Shravan Tickoo is a product leader, founder, angel investor, and — as of writing this book — an unlikely builder of software.
He graduated from IIT Roorkee (B.Tech, 2015), where he built a mobile app that hit 300,000 organic downloads in three months and was acquired before he finished college.
His career spans a decade across India's most consequential tech companies:
- Flipkart — Led category growth for Electronics, the company's largest vertical at 1,000 Cr+ annual GMV. Built a "popularity index" for targeted messaging across customer clusters
- BlackBuck — Promoted from APM to PM in 6 months. Single-handedly built a Looker-based analytics platform that became the org-wide single source of truth. Built ML models for freight estimation using PySpark. Employee of the Year (2016-17)
- Edureka — Owned growth and P&L for the $1M MRR certification business. Star Performer award (FY 2018-19)
- BYJU'S — Led BYJU'S Classes, a $100M revenue vertical and India's largest live tutoring platform, building features that drove engagement and retention for millions of students
- Bhanzu — Director of Product for a $15M/year math learning platform, leading the complete product function and scaling into new global markets
In January 2024, he founded Rethink Systems and bootstrapped it to $1M+ revenue in year one — with zero venture capital, zero paid acquisition, and zero CAC. He scaled to 7 cohorts with 560+ alumni across 15 countries (India, US, Canada, Dubai, Australia). 30% of his cohort members are senior PMs (8-15 years experience) from Stripe, Microsoft, Shell, and Tesla, paying $1,200 USD per seat. His alumni now work at Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Stripe, Salesforce, Boeing, and Oracle.
He has mentored over 10,000 product managers through cohorts, workshops, guest lectures at every IIT (Madras, Roorkee, Bombay), every IIM, XLRI, ISB, Masters' Union, and NTU Singapore.
His LinkedIn audience exceeds 200,000 followers with 190M+ annual impressions. His YouTube channel, Swag Wala PM, is India's largest Product Management channel with 47,000+ subscribers. In 2026, Favikon ranked him the #1 Product Management creator in India and the #3 worldwide.
He is an angel investor in 20+ startups across India, US, Canada, Pakistan, and Bangladesh — including Airtribe, Growrk, Maqsad, and Cur8.
He is a Young India Fellow (Ashoka University, under 2% acceptance rate), a K Start Fellow (Kalaari Capital), and has been recognized by PMI as a Leading Product Educator and by The Product Folks in their TPF 100 PMs list.
Then AI happened.
In late 2024, AI coding tools crossed a threshold. And Shravan — the product leader, not the engineer — started building production software. Not prototypes. Not demos. Real systems serving real users:
A full-stack educational platform with 26 deployed pages, phone OTP authentication, real-time analytics, and multi-role access. A multi-agent AI content pipeline where Claude Opus orchestrates researcher, writer, editor, and publisher agents. A RAG system over Vedic texts with 161,000+ embedded vectors, sub-second search, and a cloned voice that speaks answers aloud. An open-source Knowledge OS called shipstack. An automated video editing pipeline using Whisper, Remotion, and FFmpeg.
He built all of this with AI as his engineering partner.
This book exists because Shravan lived the exact transformation it teaches. He sat on the other side of the wall — the side where engineering was a black box, APIs were magic, and deployment was someone else's job. Then he found a door through it. This book is that door, left open for everyone behind him.
